Community Based Development & Project Management; Social Work & Development; and Community Health & Development - have two key course books which each student is required to buy and read. These are ‘Demystifying Participatory COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT’, and ‘PARTICIPATORY MONITORING & EVALUATION’. Both are authored by Mulwa, F.W. and can be found in all major commercial and University bookshops in Nairobi.
One Week Face to Face Diploma Clinic Workshops are held every three months (during school holidays). These are meant to bring students together for interaction between themselves and with Premese Staff. Problematic topics in the Manuals are clarified during such workshops before students sit for their Semester Exams.

On completion of our Diplomas, a large number of our graduates have been admitted in Local and Overseas Universities to pursue Bachelor of Arts and Masters Degrees in Development Studies as well as in other fields. Our past students have written to us from virtually all the Universities in this country and beyond where they have been admitted into various degree programmes. Many are now working in Bilateral-government Programmes, NGOs, Faith-based Organisations and CBOs within Eastern Africa region. Most work in Kenya, Sudan, Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Burundi and Rwanda. We have some working in Malawi and Mozambique of Central Africa and Gambia in West Africa. Most of our graduates enter into these organisations as interns looking for post-college attachment but end up securing jobs for themselves in the same organisations as a result of sterling performance.

All of PREMESE Africa Diploma Programmes are registered by Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology and One by Ministry of Education. FOUR of our Diploma Programmes have been validated and approved by Commission for Higher Education (CHE). All our Programmes are now registered for external Examination by Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC). We are also registered for external examination by ABMA (UK) and by ABE (UK).
A validated Diploma programme is equivalent to a University Diploma. Hence credit transfers are possible from a Validated Diploma Programme when getting admission for Degree programme in local or overseas Universities; Transcripts from a validated programmes have wider recognition.
